I feel like since my children have been put in my mums care (interim care order), since 24th April 2026.i haven't had any support. My mum on the other hand has support workers, kinship help and help with other family members. I have one support worker who comes when she wants. All I get is go to the gp. The gp can only do what they can. T
I feel like I've been just chucked and nothing. My own family don't even check to make sure I'm okay. I have face time with my kids for 15mins every Wednesday and Friday. And I see them for 2hours every Sunday. But I'm constantly being watched. I have no drug problems or alcohol problems. Just adhd and depression. I have been a mum for 15years and I have a feeling I won't get my kids back. I feel suicidal and alone.

Dear LostMamaBear
Welcome to the board. I am Suzie, the online adviser at Family Rights Group, and I will be responding to your post.
I am sorry to read that your children are in the care of their grandmother and that you are feeling suicidal and lonely.
Firstly, I would ask that you seek some support for suicidal thoughts from Mind the mental health charity or if you want to speak with someone immediately for emotional support the Samaritans are available 24 hours a day and their number is 116 123.
Other sources of help and support can be found at Match Mothers.
You have said that your children are under an interim care order, therefore they will have a social worker (SW) and an independent reviewing officer (IRO) it may be helpful if you spoke to the SW and IRO about contact (perhaps asking for more) and asking why you should (or must) be supervised when having contact.
You are in the court process and should note that at the interim care order stage final decisions are not made, it may help if you speak with your solicitor about probable outcomes. Our webpages about care proceedings may be helpful to you.
If you would like to speak with one of our advisers, in confidence, details of our telephone advice line can be found here.
Best wishes
