Re: Scoring 0 unborn
Susie sorry for another message but is a social work assessment the same as pre birth. I don't feel anyone has really spoken to me much and not even sure what is on the c.p plan as no copy. What would they do if I just ignored them.and the plan
Re: Scoring 0 unborn
No they didn't tell me till 4 weeks before she was born that they were removing her.
She was returned at 18 months although 14 months of that they wanted adoption.

Dear Rainbowbabymumma,
Thank you for your further posts.
As your pregnancy was concealed this will have increased the concerns that professionals have because they have not had the opportunity to carry out any assessments to see whether your baby will be safe in your care after he or she is born. It also means that opportunities may have been missed for any health advice or interventions needed whilst you are pregnant.
If there is no time for a pre-birth assessment to be carried out then you should speak urgently to the social worker to ask them what actions they are planning on taking when your baby is born. If they are planning on applying to court for a court order then it is important that you speak with a solicitor as soon as possible so that you have some legal representation. This will be paid by legal aid.
You ask whether a social work assessment is the same as a pre-birth assessment. If an assessment is being carried out (or has already been completed) then this would have been very similar to a pre-birth assessment. If you are not clear on what is in the assessment, or what is on the child protection plan then I would advise you to contact the social worker (or their manager) and ask for a copy as soon as possible. It is very important that you understand exactly what the concerns are and what you need to do to reduce these concerns.
I would strongly advise against ignoring the social worker and the child protection plan. If you do ignore them then there is a high risk that they will apply to court for an interim care order and then they may remove your baby from your care. It is never a good idea to ignore children’s services. Ignoring them will only increase their concerns and mean that they might feel that your baby is not safe to stay in your care. Please try your best to work in partnership with children’s services, so that you can have the best chance possible to keep your baby in your care.
Best wishes,
Suzie
