Hi Suzie,
Thank you again for your comments & reassurance that we cannot be forced into providing future care for our Granddaughter, we have been asked to attend a child in need teams meeting in a weeks time. I don't know if yourself or anyone else here on the group has any idea of the cost involved with discharging an SGO through the courts ?
Regards,
Hornbeam.
Ending a SGO
Re: Ending a SGO
If you do it yourself the current fee is £263. Full details at https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -fees-ex50
If you use a solicitor, clearly that would incur a fee, but it really should not be necessary. The court offices tend to be very helpful and will guide you through completing and dealing with the form.
Best wishes ... Robin

Former F&F carer, foster carer, adopter and respite carer for umpteen children. Now retired and when with kids, making sure they 'go home' at the end of the day.

Hi Robin,
Many thanks for your reply & the information contained within, I will certainly do some research into this. I was expecting it to be considerably more costly than this.

Hornbeam.
