Local councillors with responsibility for, or an interest in, children’s social care, are invited to join a new ‘partnership for change across the child welfare system’.
Family Rights Group has launched the councillors’ network as a forum for sharing knowledge and ideas on improving outcomes for children and support for parents and kinship carers. Local councillors with responsibility for children’s social care drive the agenda in their local child welfare system. They set the vision and shape the culture of their localities, determine local priorities and drive change in local services and decision-making. At Family Rights Group, we are working with councillors as partners for change in the child welfare system.
The network is free to join and is open to councillors, of all political parties, with responsibility for, or an interest in, children’s social care.
Becoming a member of the network will give you access to regular e-communications, written briefings and invites to exclusive councillor events including short virtual briefings and roundtables.
The next councillors’ network event will take place on Wednesday 17th November 2021 from 10am to 11am and will explain more about Lifelong Links and how it can be implemented in your local authority.
More about the network, upcoming events and how to join can be found on our website: https://frg.org.uk/policy-and-campaigns ... s-network/. For further information, contact Jordan Hall, Public Affairs Officer on jhall@frg.org.uk.
