Family Group Decision-Making

Starting a thread for people to post their thoughts, ideas and concerns about FGDM.
What does this mean for your service?
Are you involved in the planning?
How is FGDM being defined?

So very much to think about!

Re: Guidance for professionals wishing to stay in touch with young people

Hi, there is some guidance out there like Warwickshire's website: https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/lifelong-links/supporting-young-person-lifelong-link/

A couple of other local authorities are developing policy which (I believe) is at an advance stage and hopefully they'll be able to share this with ...

In addition, if you have liked using Circles with young people, we'd love a quote from you or your colleagues about it.

Hi, just wondering if you figured out a way around this? Some services have transferred large files using Microsoft One-Drive.

Re: family finding for Lifelong Links

Hi
I don't think TraceGenie would fall under RIPA as it is a database of public domain documents - birth certs, electrol roll details etc. (so it's not technically surveillance). It would however fall under GDPR when you process that data and record it on the system, but this should be covered by ...

Re: Recording Policy

Hi Trudy, this is an excellent point. I know there are a few recording policies in existence. Here's one I found online from Torbay:

I'm sure it would be helpful to have a few others to look at too.
