BBC Panorama

Am I right in thinking that the judge who allowed the children’s service cases to be aired in public on BBC Panorama protecting our children a balancing act has set a precedent for all other cases to be aired in public and those who choose to  do so can let the public or press know how they are being treated

Dear Tanker7,

Special permission was granted by the judge for those specific cases discussed in the programme which allowed for confidentiality rules to be breached. However this does not change the rules generally in family law cases, meaning that it remains that case that individuals must not breach confidentiality rules that apply to their cases.

I hope that this is helpful,

Best wishes,
Suzie
