Dear Terrifiedparent,

Social workers may sometimes do unannounced visits – this would mostly happen if the children in question are on a child protection plan.

You mentioned that an initial assessment has been completed – what was the outcome of this?

Best wishes,

Suzie.

Hi Suzie thanks for the reply.
We haven't heard from anybody since the initial assessment at all so I'm unaware as to whether my daughter is on a plan and if she is what plan she is on. There has been no contact in the slightest

Dear Terrifiedparent

Thank you for your further posts. I will reply to your last 3 posts here. I am sorry to hear that there has been a lack of clarify from children’s services about the outcome of their assessment. It is also distressing when meetings are cancelled or deferred.

You could ask the social worker to provide you with a copy of their assessment prior to the next meeting so that you can prepare.

I hope that the social worker’s recommendations and proposed plan are shared with you soon.

Best wishes

Suzie
