Thank you for advising a little more on how it works. He wasn't a potential partner , he was more of an innocent fling however trying to describe this on the spot whilst being thrown with questions all about him , I felt I helped them as best I could. As I said I passed on his contact number but I doubt very much he will engage with them as he doesn't seem interested in this baby and he is also shacked up with someone else , so if he doesn't engage with them , what happens then as I canr force him to and at the moment I'm so angry I dont even want to converse with him

Hi cantbeleiveit25,

In my eyes if he doesn't engage with them, they would need to decide if they have enough information to move forward.

The have an allegation. If you and he are not in a relationship and he won't engage, would they be able to confirm that allegation. If not then unless there is a concern about your children then I think they will drop it. This is only my thoughts, as how can they move forward with something they can't prove?

I would say use your anger to motivate yourself to the organising and other things you need to do. Let this work its self out, it's something you can't control so I would leave it to run its course. Be open and honest when asked questions that way they will get to the end quicker, done and dusted. 🙂

I think they may be waiting for whatever it is they are waiting for under clares law , that could possibly be the delay, they still haven't spoken to the children and its been a week now since they asked if they could.
