Social services

Hello am 22 years old with 2 children
Ive never had social services on me until my ex partner, hes not my children dad but they keep saying he is i said i will do a dna on my youngest just cause he was there at birth now they are telling me if i go back to my ex my children could be taken but ive recently had claires law come out and they have just told me its verbal abuse also my social worker if phoning me everyday i answer talking about my ex partner hes in prison atm so its not like i will be seeing him i will just like to see if anyone can give me advice ( ive never had social services on me they said they are not worried about me and the kids its my ex partner has we are talking about giving it another go)

In your post you say that you currently have involvement from children’s services. It appears that this is due to concerns surrounding your ex-partner – you say that he is in prison but do not mention what this is for.

It may be helpful if you provide me with more information so that I can offer some advice. What was the reason for the referral to children’s services, and what are the social worker’s worries? Has there been a children and families assessment, and are your children currently on a child in need or child protection plan?
