Ceasing any further involvement

Hello i was just wondering if anyone can please tell what it means when social services write to you telling you that they will be ceasing there involvement with a parent and there family?

Thank you for your post.

If children's services have written to say that they are ceasing involvement, this means that the case in question will be closed to the department, and that a social worker will no longer be working with the family.
