Caution!

It could be that she is gearing up to take you to court.

If she can get evidence of DV, she becomes Legal Aid eligible.

Continue to work with SS. Think very carefully before phoning or messaging her as it could end up being used in court.

Good luck.

Re: Social Care failures

This is a dreadful situation. It looks like a genuine error by SS. I would wait to see the outcome of the S47 report and then work with them in an open and honest manner, which it would appear that you did before. Please keep the forum posted with the results of the S47, so that Suzie and forum memb...

Re: PLO meeting/social services error

PLO is very serious indeed. It means the SS are gearing up for care proceedings.

My advice? You will not like it. Ditch the husband immediately. If SS think that he is such a risk they will not back off.

You need to decide between your husband or your children.

Re: How do you disprove sexual abuse allegations?

I am sorry to hear of this difficult situation. If you are not having contact with your children, you need to apply to the family courts with a form C100. Your solicitor will help with this. It sounds likely to me that mum will keep refusing contact, in which case CAFCASS will need to be involved. F...

Re: SS wanting to investigate abuse 3 years later

I am sorry to hear that you are so frightened that you think SS might be going in for a care order. My experience of SS is that they are plain speaking. If they were thinking of elevating the case to PLO or instigating care proceedings, they would probably have told you. I agree with your first rema...

Re: visit of a social worker at home

If it is just a Child In Need plan that is totally voluntary and you are under no obligation to deal with them. However, if we withdraw your consent, they could escalate matters to child protection. I was raised with domestic abuse and it is scary and distressing. Dropping the charges will not make ...

Re: Husband removed from family home after conference

I have had no personal experience with this type of allegation, however I did read one post on here whereby a father who had a conviction was able to get contact back by complaining through the official channels and involving a solicitor, so it can be done.

Re: Avoidant behaviour - from the council

My experience of SS is that there is a high staff turnover, workers leave all the time. SS are perfectly entitled to put a new worker on the case. You say that they "purposely" withheld the online invite when you do not know that it was on purpose. It could merely be an admin error. You st...
