Impact of coronavirus crisis

Post by Suzie, FRG Adviser » Thu Mar 26, 2020 10:51 am

Dear Family and Friends carers

We understand that this is a difficult time for many family and friends carers as they are adapting to the impact of the coronavirus (covid 19) crisis on their and their children’s lives and communities. We recognise that many carers and the children they care for are already vulnerable or dealing with challenges in their lives. We know that many families are anxious and worried at this time. You may be unsure about what the situation will mean for you and your family and about what to expect when you are working with social workers or the family court.

We have published top tips for kinship carers to help children to maintain relationships during the Coronavirus outbreak which we hope will help you.

We will continue to answer your posts about your family’s situation on this discussion board. We are collating and publishing links to the most relevant government guidance and practice information as it becomes available. We will regularly update our website to help you find the advice and information you need for you and the children you are caring for. If your query is outside our remit or you need additional support we will signpost you to other organisations that may be able to help you more.

With best wishes

Suzie
