Are you a kinship carer? Please share your experiences and your ideas for change

Dear friends,

This week Family Rights Group has launched a survey for kinship carers to share their experiences with MPs and Peers.

A kinship carer is a family member or friend who is raising a child under the age of 18 who cannot live with their parents.

The All Party Parliamentary Group on Kinship Care – a cross party group in Parliament - is currently running an inquiry into legal aid and legal advice for kinship carers and prospective kinship carers.

Family Rights Group are supporting the APPG and our survey will ensure they hear the voices and experiences of kinship carers across the country.

The survey will take about 15 minutes to fill in and the results will be invaluable to raise awareness of kinship care, and achieve better support for kinship carers and the children they are raising.

Take the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/3FJ5SBW

If you are a kinship carer, we would love for you to complete the survey and share your experience.

Please also share the survey on social media and with your networks so that we can hear from as many carers as possible.

Best wishes,

Family Rights Group
