We would be interested to hear from any kinship carer or practitioner who has been told that the local authority has issued a blanket policy of ceasing to pay special guardianship order or residence order allowances. We have been contacted by a few carers who have heard told this second hand and we need to start to get a clearer picturer of whether some LAs are actively taking such an approach (officially or unofficially).
