Re: Contact from SGO
Thank you for your response, we have been told by the social worker that parents are not allowed contact on Birthdays and Christmas outside of their usual contact. i.e A parent could not see the child on Christmas Day specifically as it can be too upsetting for the child, is this the case going forw...

Contact from SGO
Hello, We will shortly be going to court for what is likely to be the hearing where an SGO is granted. Currently my niece sees her mother 2 times a week via facetime (due to the pandemic). We've been told that this so high to begin with as there needs to be a relationship in case the child goes back...

Re: Likelyhood of SGO Success
Hi, Thanks for your reply - it's not that we don't want her here, we would love to have her. We've spent most of her life with her since she was born. Our concern is that in terms of a support network we live quite far away from the rest of her family so we think it's best for that reason (hard thou...

Hello everyone - hope everyone is keeping safe! To cut a long story short we've been in constant contact with social services regarding ongoing concerns since around January. Throughout the whole process (and rightly so) SS have told us that they cannot discuss the details with us but that we should...

Re: Stuck and lost
Thanks for your reply - it's not so much that it hasn't been reported, her sister already has an open case with SS and is working with them - I'm more wondering if there is any worth in me reporting essentially what has already been reported so they can see it's not just one person on a vendetta?

Stuck and lost
Hello all, I'm struggling with where is best to turn and mostly just needed someone who may have experience in the past I'll try to be as brief, but as detailed as possible. My niece has been living at home and everything was seemingly fine up until just before Christmas. We had apprehensions about ...
