Once you are approved as a Foster Carer do you have to go to panel every year? Also as a Foster Carer how far should you be expected to drive children to school and to contact visits?

We have just heard that our assessment is positive so we will be going to panel soon. Does anyone know the percentage that get through the panel. We are apprehensive and don`t want anything to go wrong any suggestions.
