Cafcass and Women's Aid have produced new research on this important issue: allegations of domestic abuse in child contact cases.
Key findings in this study of 216 applications to the family court about where/with whom the child should live/spend time with include:
DA was alleged in almost two-thirds (62%) of cases
More allegations were made against fathers than mothers
In most cases DA allegations co-existed with other safeguarding concerns.
