The IIRP invites you to submit a proposal to present at their conference "Restoring Community in a Disconnected World". The deadline for proposals is April 21, 2008.
This interdisciplinary conference will provide an international perspective on restorative theory and practice in a variety of settings, from education to social welfare to criminal justice.
Submit a proposal to present a 50-minute session, sharing your knowledge and experiences. No formal written papers are required. A reduced conference rate is available to presenters.

Prof Gale Burford at the University of Vermont and an international research team, including Kate Morris, Head of Social Work at Birmingham University, are drawing together a synopsis of FGC evaluation and research conducted since they previously published work in 2003. The forum is open to all black and minority ethnic professionals involved in Family Group Conferencing. The meeting is part of a pilot project collecting evidence of good practice in work with black and minority ethnic families using the family group conference model, and considering how to overcome barriers.
