Family Group Conference Independent Facilitator

£500 per conference or £15.00 per hour

Could you be a Family Group Conference Independent  Facilitator?

The Thurrock Family Group Conference Project is looking for dynamic individuals who are committed to the principles of working in partnership with, and empowerment of, families. A family group conference is a family-led, decision-making meeting which is called when families need to take decisions and make plans to address concerns about the safety, well-being or behaviour of their child. The role of the Family Group Conferences Independent Facilitator is to help the family and those who work with the family to arrange a family group conference. Family Group Conferences Facilitators need to have a proven ability to relate to people in a non-judgemental way. Good communication skills are essential. Knowledge of social services, education, health, youth work would be desirable. Facilitators are self-employed and are paid on a sessional basis. They need to be self-motivated and able to work flexibly. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
