Alison Richards memorial

Alison RichardsAlison Richards, Family Rights Group's wonderful and committed legal adviser, died on Sunday 18th September 2005 aged 44.  Alison had been diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago, and such was her dedication to Family Rights Group that she continued to work whilst having treatment. Unfortunately in early 2005 she became critically ill with lung cancer. She showed exceptional bravery and determination in tackling her illness.

This page has been created for those whose lives Alison touched with her warmth, dedication and exceptional intellect. The messages posted have been created into a book for Alison's husband, Appollon, and her young children, Freya and Sophia. I know that whilst Alison's presence is very much missed, her work particularly in respect of supporting grandparent carers, has had a lasting impact on individual families and on Government policy. We are deeply committed to taking this work forward.
