Can anyone clarify

Post by A123 » Mon Dec 21, 2020 6:50 pm

I've been told that a persons history with social services will follow them where ever they go including if the leave the UK is this true? I'm looking for a fresh start as I've had 4 court cases since 2014 including revoking placement orders and removal from my mother to fc and every time I have have had different reasons thrown at me from mental health which I've proved by a court psychological assessment that the condition I had in 2018 had gone by 2019 with my therapy, ive had attachment with my oldest used but they won't offer support she's now 11, I've had my abusive exs I've done freedom program twice with a brilliant report for court, I've had lack of time used against me I just don't know how much more of my life I can change for them before being unrecognisable to myself and children I spent over a grand for therapy as I am too stable for the NHS and the court didn't like that but I proved them wrong by finding a therapist who the guardian had to check herself for some strange reason as I started it before the case finished fair to say she wasn't happy that I had actually found a therapist who specialised in the therapy I needed and was more than qualified

Dear A123,

Thank you for your post.

If you remain in the UK and go on to have other children, your previous involvement with children's services may lead to a referral in pregnancy. You do not say in your post where you may relocate to and is therefore difficult for me to say to what extent your history with children's services may be relevant in another country. If you do have children in another country and they become aware of your history with children's services, they may contact the relevant local authority in the UK.

If you provide me with more information, I may be able to answer this better.

Best wishes,

Suzie

Hi Suzie
I have been looking at moving to Ireland, Canada or the US upon completing my law degree nothing to do with social services really, i have spoken to my current social worker and asked if i moved back to her area and got pregnant in the future would they go straight into court for a placement and care order knowing the changes i have already made (i'm opposing an adoption with a different authority she just said she didn't know and it would be seen as irresponsible if i got pregnant again, because i said i don't want a relationship with anyone)
