What is cin code.

Hi can anyone explain what a cin code I think it is children in need, then it says N3-parental illness or disability. And primary outcome Provisions of s47 cp services. Both of this is on a core assessment. Also like to ask on cp review conference do you get a report before the review. sorry if this seems daft to ask. Thank you

It’s a bit difficult to answer fully without seeing the paperwork you’re talking about.

From what you have said, it sounds as though your child has been assessed as a “child in need” (CiN) as a result of the impact of a parent’s illness/ disability. Following this assessment, the social worker has recommended that child protection (cp) procedures are followed in order to provide services to address your child’s needs. S47 refers to section 47 of the Children Act 1989. This is the section that talks about child protection.

Regarding the review conference, the social worker will produce a report for this conference and you should have an opportunity to see it before the meeting- it is good practice for you to have a copy at least a couple of days before.
