General advice please

Hi my names ***** I have a daughter 10 years old which I haven't seen since she was three but then all of a sudden I had a message of her mum saying my daughter wants to meet me which I agreed to thus was may 2015 we met in a local pub we started having my daughter frequently weekends one day in the week then all of a sudden my daughters mum said she couldn't cope with her anymore that's when things moved on with my daughter coming to live with me and my partner which my daughter loved with her mum she was always late for school sometimes never went with me she was never late I work full time but shifts so was hard to spend quality time with my little girl her mum had seen her three times since July uptil October which all of a sudden she said she wanted shared care which I wasn't bothered about but the one thing that annoyed me was she picked her up from school on a Wednesday while I was working so I texted asking what's going on she replied saying my daughter was staying with her that's the last I seen my daughter we cancelled csa and applied for family allowance that's what we think changed her mind as she'd have no money. My daughter is on instragram which I don't approve but there was a video on there where my daughter says I'm the worst father in the world because I don't spend time with her but I've been fighting to see her since she was three but her mother kept making excuses and blanked my daughters wishes my daughters nan is just as bad she tried to take her from me when she was born and put the evil into my daughters mum saying I want nothing to do with my daughter my daughters mum drinks alot I have contacted social services as I'm worried for my daughters safety they have put cafcass on the situation is there any other options I have to see my daughter again thanks

Welcome to the Parents Forum. I can see that you want advise about two things-contact with your daughter and your worries about her safety.

I am sorry to hear that mum has stopped you from seeing your daughter, after you have had extensive contact as well as being the main carer of your daughter for a little while.

Instead you could contact the free child law advice line or find a solicitor who specialises in children law.

Child protection/safeguarding concerns

You have made a referral to children services because you are worried about your daughter’s safety due to mums alcohol use. It is not clear whether children services are carrying out an assessment. Have a look at out
