Children and Families Bill

Post by Esme, Moderator » Tue Mar 26, 2013 9:19 am

Dear all,

This is a post to let you know what Family Rights Group is doing about the Children and Families Bill which is currently being looked at by parliament.

We have drafted various amendments, had some tabled by MPs and have been working to get other organisations, MPs and Peers to support our proposed changes.

You can read details of what we are doing, including the amendments here. This website page also contains a link which will allow you to contact your MP directly so you can tell him or her what you think.

If you want to be updated directly about our work you can sign up to be on our newsletter mailing list here, and if you are on twitter you can follow our campaigning activities on @FamilyRightsGrp.

Best Wishes

dear esme, it is great to see the FRG is taking heed of the boards and making representations such as these. I particularly liked the mention of a need for FAIRNESS. Theory is all very good but the FRG is at the sharp end and can see what goes on IN PRACTICE as described by aggrieved parents. Social Workers and lawyers will,of course only give their biased views and someone has to put those of parents!
