Good Evening,
My child`s SW sometimes visits her at school. The only way we find out about this is when she tells us afterwards. The school say they have no duty to inform us in advance of these visits & that it is down to the SW to tell us.Also, during these meetings only the SW and my daughter are present. We feel this is not right & that the school should provide a staff member to sit in-even if they are not allowed to intervene.Your opinions are all welcome
SW VISITS TO SCHOOL
Re: SW VISITS TO SCHOOL
Yes school or children's services do not have to inform you of there visits to you child at school in a child protection case but you can say that you are not happy with it being just social worker and child and you would like a member of school staff that your child is comfy with to be present
