social workers often will not give you the right info in a way and at the correct time that you can understand easily and this is a major problem which you ( and others ) will face.I suggest that you follow the advice of the professional advisors at the FRG. Also you should consider getting some legal advice.

the CAB is admirable and can help you. They can also waste a lot of your time. They will probably give you leaflets ,advise you to seek legal assistance and give you helpful contacts. The FRG can give you better help than the CAB because they specialise in the subject and are symphathetic with the problems you face. They exist to help families and particularly you and other parents involved with Children's Services. When I went to the CAB ,I waited two hours to be able to book an appointment the following week.

Hello ladyp

My name is Esme and I am the moderator on FRG's discussion boards. Thank you for posting here and I'm sorry to hear that you and your family are having some difficulties at the moment.

I am a bit unclear exactly what your situation is from your post.

You say that you are not living with your sons at the moment. Can you tell us a bit more about that? Were your sons removed from your care by children’s services (social services) or did you make alternative arrangements for them because you were unable to care for them for some reason?

You mention that social services have removed your son’s from your daughter. Can you tell us a bit more about what happened? Where are your sons living at the moment?

You also say that the boys are on “child protection”. Does this mean that there are child protection plans in place? Have social services been to court regarding your sons?

If you are happy to give us a bit more information ladyp, Suzie, our online adviser, will be able to advise you about your rights and give you some suggestions. Some of the other parents on here may also be able to help with advice and peer support based on their own experiences.

If you would prefer, you are welcome to call our free advice line (0808 801 0366) which is open from 10am- 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Best Wishes
