Two social workers tried taking my baby from me after I'd given birth they told me that they were taking my baby girl away from me for adoption and that they had adoptive parents already in place and that my 7 year old son would be taken into care all due to compulsive lies after 2 and a half years of fighting social services I still have my children but due to so many lies that in meetings was proven to be false allegations they still have parental rights so basically they still to this day pick at straws i know longer trust any of them ive never known a system like this. It is wrong they are supposed to be there to help children that are genuinely suffering yet even though they say to me im doing really well which i know for the love i have for my children they are very well loved and cared for, social services still remain to write something totally different to what they say to me in person, all these people Care about is themselves they to scared of losing there jobs so they remain taking away children for the wrong reasons and in my case they don't care one little bit about me or my children as they still remain to tell lies its so cruel what they are doing to innocent parents and there children ive been lucky to still have my children in my care the reason im with the family rights group is to try and get justice and hopefully put a stop to the illegal forced adoption, due to compulsive lies, and also because social services have parental rights for my children i still remain scared if my children were taken that would destroy both me and my children, our home is and always will be full of love and laughter..

Dear Frazor

Thank you for posting on the parents’ discussion forum.

You have said it your post that social workers tried to remove our baby from your care after you had given birth. Unfortunately, you do not say why they became involved in the first place and what concerns they had regarding safeguarding for your children.

Your children are in your care and children’s services, from what you say, have ‘parental rights’. This suggests that there is a care order in their favour for you children. Is this correct? Unless there is either an interim care order or a full care order, children’s services will not have parental responsibility. Please see our advice sheet relating to Parental Responsibility for more information.

If your children are subject to care order then children’s services have specific duties when children are in the care system. Our advice sheet about this is here Duties on Children’s Services when children are in the care system.
Whilst I understand your concerns about how you view children’s services because of your experience. There are procedures that have to be followed before a child can be adopted and this would always involve the court. It is possible that, on occasions, children’s services may consider placing a child in a foster to adopt placement when making plans if it is thought the parents will not be able to care for their child.

Please read the information in this link from our website.

If your children are under a care orders as stated above, children’s services should not consider removing your children without prior notice to you unless it is an emergency. It is not clear from your post how long the care order , if there is one, has been in place but it is possible to ask children’s services to assess you with the possibility of the children being with you without a care order. This will, of course depend on your circumstances, whether this is something that can happen in the short or long term.

I hope this post helps to give more information about children’s services and the fact that they become involved with families if they receive a referral regarding a child's safety and well being. They have a duty to investigate such referrals to ensure that children are safeguarded and live in a safe environment.

Should you wish to speak to an adviser about your situation you can telephone our advice line on 0808 801 0366. The advice line is open from 9.30am to 3pm Monday to Friday.

Best wishes

Suzie

Hi it's my first time on here and I'd just like to start with saying the whole ss system is a disgrace, our 2 children were stolen from us by them and it seems it's a thing they seem to do,I admit I have 1 minor driving offence but in there eyes I've been tagged as if I'm in the mafia,I found out my beautiful baby boy who's 2 was taken to hospital last week with breathing difficulties and I only heard about it yesterday even tho we've still got parental responsibility !! They also tried to say that he was too friendly so he'd been objected to strangers : it makes me soo angry their our children and we've done absolutely nothing wrong !!!They twist words and lie just to make their targets I'm sure their on commission my children cry and scream after us it's heartbreaking when we leave the contact centre these people make the children worse !!!! And now I've found I'm pregnant again will they take this one????

Dear Nipper1,

Welcome to the Parent’s Forum and congratulations on your pregnancy.

I am so sorry to hear that your two children have been removed from you and that contact with them is so distressing.
You do not say whether they are in foster care or placed with family. Are there still care proceedings?

Have a look at our advice sheet about Duties to children in care . See page 5 which deals with consulting parents about the care plan and see page 17 onwards about the reviews and what the independent reviewing officer (IRO) does.

Your question is can they remove your baby (once baby is born)?

When children services are notified of your pregnancy, they should carry out a pre-birth assessment to see what has changed since your older children were removed.
Children’s services will want to know whether your baby could be at risk of suffering significant harm if baby remained living with you and your partner.
If they found there is a risk, they should give you the help, support and any referrals that you need to reduce that risk and help you be safe parents.
Please see our information about assessments .

I strongly advise you get in touch with your solicitor and ask them:
• Why were your children removed from you? You having committed a driving offence would not be enough. There must be something else. Ask your solicitor what that is.
• Also ask your solicitor what you should do to keep your baby with you, this time. Is there any courses or therapy that you should do?
• Ask for a copy of the written court judgment-if there is one which will outline why the court decided your children should no longer live with you.

If you can give me more details as to why children services were worried then I will be able to give you more advice.

In the meantime have a look at the triangle diagram –see the bottom of the page. It set sots out how children services should help families to stay together before they consider removing children.

Here is information about working with people such as advocates and solicitors .

If you need more advice, please post again or call our confidential advice line on 0808 801 0366.

Best wishes,

Suzie
