Hi I have not been invited to an independent review meeting for a year now, what is my position on this as i have two children being " looked after"

Hiya,
If your children are "looked after", there should be LAC Reviews every 6 months. Do you know if the meetings have gone ahead and you've just not been invited? Or have there not actually been any meetings? Are your children under a Care Order or voluntarily accommodated?
As far as your position goes, you should be invited to each LAC Review. If you haven't been, I would advise you contact the IRO (Independent Reviewing Officer who chairs the LAC Reviews) directly. You can just ask your SW for his or her number and speak to them yourself.
