Dear Bella,

Welcome to the Parents Forum!
Have a look at our website for information about child protection.

You could also telephone our free and confidential advice line on 0808 801 0366.

Or you can ask any questions here as long as you remember to be careful not to put any information that might let anyone reading the forum know who you or your children are.

Alternatively, you could check if you can get legal aid and if you can, search for a solicitor who specialises in children law and does legal aid work in the area that you live on the Law Society website.

Best wishes,

There are many law firms where you can find free legal advice online. Hi distinguished members of legal Fraternity,I have a query can an advocate or a lawyer hire another advocate or a lawyer to take up his clients case.If yes then how can one proceed further and if not then what are the rules in this regards? Any help would be appreciable. :(

Hi rks123,

Yes, sometimes a solicitor will instruct a barrister to represent a person at court or to provide an opinion about the law or how to proceed in a case, particularly if it is complex. Or another solicitor or legal representative in the firm might work on your case.

Also, if a court case is taking place in a different part of the country then a solicitor who is based locally to the court may be instructed to represent you. This saves on the costs of travel.

You should speak to your solicitor about how h/she works.

If you have any questions, please post back.

Best wishes,

Suzie
