Congratulations on your great news about the pre birth assessment!

It is correct to think that unless they have new concerns or reason to re-open your case, they will not need to be involved at this time. Hopefully this will allow you to relax and enjoy your pregnancy, but not being afraid to draw on your support network if required.

You may wish to share your success on Mimzy1991's thread, where she was looking for good luck stories, but to date had very limited response.

Contacting them was your first mistake. They would never have known otherwise, since this man is not even in your life. Even if he was, you wouldn't have to tell the midwife or health visitor or have him on the birth cert. If social services won't find out about something, don't tell them yourself and drop yourself in it and open up a can of worms.
