Re: Care Order Being Sought on Monday
the hearing maybe listed for 10am but I'm sure it will be a long wait before you actually go into the court room. Use this time to tell your barrister. Yes it will have to be tomorrow I'm afraid but you have to tell them so they can bring it to the judges notice. The government want everything fast ...

Re: Care Order Being Sought on Monday
Dear bearcubs 2 make sure your barrister knows that the guardian hasn't seen or spoken to you. they must meet with you to gain an insight into what person you are and get your opinions, perspective on the situation BEFORE writing a report and submitting it the court? Not had time to meet with you? S...

Not on contact list - take them home
My mother in law had contact booked with her grandchildren (our kids). She was also baby sitting her other grandchildren and had told the social worker that she would bring them with her to contact. All kids are similar age and the cousins have come on contact before. The social worker hadn't made a...

I would love to hear how you did it as we hope to be back in court soon to get the placement order and care order discharged for our two kids. Thank you in advance and all the best for the future. When is your c...

Re: Meeting with parents before LAC review
Hi Suzie and thank you. I have read the link you sent and no they didn't follow procedure. they had a full LAC review meeting earlier the same day we met with separately. We were not aware that the review meeting had taken place already. Our views were not requested. All we were told was what they h...

Re: Meeting with parents before LAC review
Omg I just can't believe this. It wasn't a BEFORE LAC review meeting it was an AFTER LAC meeting. We sat down and were told what a room full of people had discussed behind our backs. They are completely ignoring the court order deciding to carry on looking for adopters regardless. My kids can't slee...

Re: Christmas Contact
A meeting yesterday has "pencilled" in two hours back in the room on 30th December. Better than nothing but it seems it's more for their benefit being in the contact centre than out in the community which the kids have had with us for months.

Re: my son has just been placed in temporary foster care
All I can add is that with EMDR they do what they call "resource building" first before they explore the person's past. They would never dive straight in. A new more gentle approach might just be what your son needs. It needs to be sorted or he will only get worse. Running away and hiding ...

Re: Christmas Contact
Oh no ange. Sorry I might need to rephrase the comment about Grandparents. They've told us that's what the social worker has said to them. It's not the Grandparents keeping us from the kids just they know when they will see them we don't as yet. Chasing that up today.
