Re: i need some help advice

Hello Joparks Welcome to the parents forum. My name is Suzie and I am an adviser at Family Rights Group. As your daughter is still under a care order, you are not able to claim benefits in relation to her so the local authority will need to make some arrangements with you to support the placement. B...

Re: Legal Obligations of non PR dad

Hi Jolleee It is completely inappropriate for a social worker to speak to a parent in this way and I would suggest that you and/ or your ex have grounds for a serious complaint. Technically, a parent could be arrested for abandonment if they refuse to accommodate and care for their child. This is a ...

Re: Legal Obligations of non PR dad

Hi Jolleee It sounds like Children's Services are not honouring the plan that was agreed at the FGC, so you should ask for an urgent review meeting - and the coordinator should have the authority to agree a plan that will be accepted by Chidlren's Services. To state the obvious, it's no good agreein...

Re: my son been taken away

Hi andyandy Thanks for your update. I apreciate that you feel things are dragging on with children's services. From an outsiders perspective though, I would say that you have made incredible progress and that things are continuing to move in the right direction. Initially, children's services did no...
