Re: Community contact stopped SW prejudice only
Thank you Suzie. I have now emailed the sw asking exactly why she has stopped the outdoor contact for us and why the grandparents still have it. Will update with her response if/when I receive it.

Re: 26 weeks care proceedings timescale
No way is it long enough for many cases. especially involving more than one child, a child with disability or a care plan for adoption. Our case will conclude at 36 weeks but even now it appears that's there's so many holes in the evidence even after expert reports that it might have to be adjourned...

Community contact stopped SW prejudice only
Our children's previous social worker allowed our contact to be in the community. Play barn in term time or children's farm in school holidays. The new social worker won't allow it now for the parents even though the grandparents still get community contact as they always have and can actually choos...

Remove Spam Please
"loius11" has posted spam on this forum. I've not seen selling or other posts on here unlike another forum but it's now started. Can Suzie please remove and check new members before letting them post on this forum? It just destroys what the FRG are trying to achieve. Many thanks.

Re: Is the LA under obligation to review parents position?
Hi ange. Thank you as always. I forgot (my brain's like swiss cheese) that the LA have no obligation to the parents while a placement order is in place. Eventhough the Judge, supported by the guardian gave them 6 months then "suggested" they bring it back if the children weren't placed or ...

Is the LA under obligation to review parents position?
Hi all. It's grating on me this question. You lose your children into care. Possibly like us the threat of adoption is present. The Judge has said your need to engage in long therapy is out of the children's timescales so he/she dispenses with your consent. The social worker treats you like your inv...

Re: Respite foster care under placement order
Thank you Suzie. My daughter said (name) wasn't well. That is one of their main carers. However I can't be sure that was or wasn't a reason for a two week respite over Christmas. We weren't included in the recent LAC review in November and it wasn't mentioned at the supplementary meeting we had with...

Respite foster care under placement order
My children have been in "respite" foster care over Christmas without our knowledge. Is this common practice to give full time carers a break and should the social worker have told us as we share PR and this is a major change even if it is temporary for two weeks? Thanks in advance.

Re: Importance of Sanctuary
Dear blueplain. First of all happy new year. Secondly I have to start by saying you've hit the nail on the head. I was a nervous wreck before my kids were removed and especially between their failed attempt to removal to the four months later when they finally succeeded. The social worker telling th...
