Re: who do I complain to next?
worriedmum81 I know it doesn't help to know you're not alone but I'm going through a very similar situation with my daughter's new social worker. She won't even give me her email address! She has a very strong accent so hearing her on the phone on the two occasions I've actually got to speak to her ...

Re: So confused
Hi heartbroken80. It's not up to the social worker it's up to the judge. These social workers' go way above there position and think they call the shots. They don't. It's up to you to put the best possible case before the Judge and it's the Judge and only the Judge that decides using the 'welfare ch...

Re: Local Authority Jurisdiction While Child in Long Term Care
Hi Suzie, yes my daughter has complex additional needs and she is under a full care order. She has global development delay and is in a very supportive school for kids with varying disabilities. The new social worker doesn't appear to have had the proper handover as she has no clue about my daughter...

Local Authority Jurisdiction While Child in Long Term Care
I live in X county with my son while my daughter lives with a foster family and goes to school in the neighbouring Y county. Her social worker is from my local authority and it's making things so difficult for her school, me, the foster carer, everyone as they can't deal direct with the local author...

Re: Will I get my child back in March
Dear Bex4502 Do not under any circumstances try and remove your daughter from her father's care. There's a interim residency order by the sounds of it. You'd be in a whole lot of hot water if you did. My ex accused me of kidnap just because I wanted to see my kids and he told me to get out his house...

Re: CSC and families with complex needs
Hello Har1Her1 Thank you for putting into words what I can't seem to these days. The fact that Children's Services are only there for the children (as I've been told by a social worker years ago). Also that there's no such thing as special needs it's poor parenting! Your post really struck a chord. ...

Inappropriate chats with my children by FSW/SW
Hello everyone. I'd like your views/advise please. I am very concerned that both the social worker and family support worker have been pre empting the conclusion following a CP medical both my children underwent by talking to them about being put into foster care! My children are both very young. Bo...

Re: i might as well say goodbye to my baby
Honeybee1984, don't ever give up hope. So far my husband and I have managed to derail their plan to have both our kids adopted but we've also successful had the placement order revoked. We also fought to keep the siblings together after they wanted to separate them we are now in the process of a tri...

Re: ANY HELP PLEASE !!CHILDREN IN CARE
It will be 26 weeks starting from the date the case is listed at the court. That's the date of the first hearing and date you first go to court. 26 weeks isn't in stone and can be lengthened if the judge isn't satisfied that they have all the evidence they need to make a judgement. Hope that helps.

Re: Community contact stopped SW prejudice only
Thank you Suzie. I have now emailed the sw asking exactly why she has stopped the outdoor contact for us and why the grandparents still have it. Will update with her response if/when I receive it.
