Re: Husband arrested for talking to a minor
I presume he must have some prior conviction/bail conditions or else, as far as I've heard, it is not yet a crime in this country to merely 'talk to minor' (but the way we are going, it will be).

relationship on the SOR
Some good news from me: I'm 2 and a quarter years through a 3-year community sentence for possession of indecent images. I was divorced at the beginning of this (for obvious reasons), and at 49 after 22 years of marriage I thought how the hell will I ever find love again, especially given the stigma...

Re: Child Protection order
RS32, your case is absolutely appalling and a violation of human rights in so many ways. Firstly, there's the shocking possibility your partner has been intimidated into an outright false confession by the sheer menacing weight of the Great Witch Hunt. Then is the unprovable 'risk' your partner pose...

Re: My husband downloaded indecent images
You can put it as nicely and professionally as you want, but she's got her children back home basically because she's agreed to being bullied by them as to what relationships she can choose, and the risk she's 'worked to reduce' is an 'alleged risk' - it's in the eyes of the SS. Let's get that strai...

Re: I want to marry a sex offender
Dear Shaftesbury, I do not agree with PerfectlySafeDad's view that coming off the sex offenders register will make your partner automatically safe to be with your children. However, due to the support your partner may have received over the years and no further abuse incidents, he may be much less ...

The SS ruining people's lives again, just to cover their backs against any 'maybe' or false accusation whatsoever. Their arrogance beggars belief. The only criminals in this case appears to be them. How in hell are they not accountable?

Re: Is this fair?
If you're being assessed for one particular reason, they'll assess you on 'everything' else too for good measure, to tick their boxes. It's a catastrophe for any parent to come to the attention of social services for any reason at all, because they seem to think they have both the duty and the right...

Re: Help
'a third child was so upset crying for them to give her Daddy back'. My heart bleeds for you, your husband and the children being abused by the state's tyrannical (yet incompetent) safeguarding system. Yes, the world has gone mad. I don't know what advice to offer, because doing exactly as they say ...

Re: Harassment
Offsted is a worthwhile avenue to try. In the case of my own Children's Services, I know they have failed their Offsted twice in recent years, and some magnificent all-powerful super-director was brought in (no doubt on a huge salary) to oversee two local authorities simultaneously! Amazing woman. O...

Re: SHPO/SOPO
@May Have you had any further news on the SHPO front? If your husband's risk is coming down, I find it highly unlikely the police would apply for one now, especially since the judge did not see fit to apply one in the first place. This would not be an 'oversight' - they simply don't make obvious err...
