Re: Feeling intimitated

I'm a parent who is currently on a child protection plan,.. this families second I might add. I am very much aware of good and bad practice. I genuinely feel the attitude and conduct of the children's social workers was wrong, and borderline criminal. I'm pleased you've since had a conversation with...

Re: Feeling intimitated

Hi Firstly, let me say I'm sorry to hear your having such a bad time with Children's Services. I can completely sympathise with your situation. Having read your story it is not clear what stage you are at with Children's Services. Are you currently on a child protection plan?, if not have they arran...

Re: Deprivation of Liberty

UPDATE So, I got my Stage 1 reply back,... Having gone through this procedure before my assumption was correct. The Manager who investigated her employee, the Safeguarding Social Worker, basically sided with the social worker in that she 'did not tell me what to do' but would use words like 'advise'...

Re: Contact has been stopped

Hi Sarra, and Welcome to the Discussion Board. Firstly, it is unclear on the details of the supervision order. You did say it only lasted for a year which ended in 2014, since then, it's pretty much stayed as it was I'm presuming up until recently. My understanding of things you, as a parent, are al...

Re: PLEASE HELP,

Hi 'Helpneeded', Having gone through to a Stage 3 complaint myself I understand some of what's involved. You could possibly try and place another complaint with the complaints team about the length of time that this current complaint is taking. I would (me personally) include as many CC's as possibl...

Re: Foster Carer wants to take child away for 9 days

Hi Mammy, Sorry to hear about the situation your in. Firstly I'd like to say I'm a parent, with no knowledge of the foster care system, contact orders or care proceedings. That said, I am fluent in Google. I did find this on childlawadvice website [Start] Do I need permission to take my child on hol...

Re: Deprivation of Liberty

Thank you for your reply Suzie. Firstly I would like to confirm even though I am not the child's biological father, I do have a full PR order granted by the courts (Both biological parents agreed to my having PR) as it was in the best interests of the child. In the period since my last post, I have ...

Re: Corrupt social worker

Hi Mother in Despair, Sorry to hear about the issues your having with Children's Services (The new name for Social Services). Having read through your post, it seems there is a lot more that's not been said that would provide a lot more context to your current situation. Firstly, I'd like to clarify...

Deprivation of Liberty

Well,.. recently has a 6 month review and the decision is to remain on plan for another 6 months. Obviously not happy about that. 2 main issues why were still on, one centred on my 3 month old and the other the 9 year old. It's the 9 year old I'm going to discuss here. He has significant needs. Auti...
