Re: Can parents grant parental responsibility to a family friend?

Dear Gungadin,Yes,there is an easier way. You should go to the local register office and ask for a parental responsibility agreement form. Then both you and the real parent sign that you agree to share parental responsibility, pay a fee (about ten pounds,I think) and the agreement will be registered w...

Re: Confused

Dear har1her1, I think your son who self-harmed is in imminent danger of serious harm by the sounds of it; also that the younger boy is in moral danger and your husband is in need of counselling. For whatever reason, the system does not appear to be functioning as it should and you are left to put y...

Re: Confused

Dear Har1 Her1, It's no wonder you are confused! You should contact The National Autistic Society for help and advice as a matter of urgency. Also ask about respite care for the children. You need specialist help ; no-one can manage children like this alone especially when Dad has his own difficulties...

Re: Parents Board-new format.

Dear Suzie, Have you changed it again just recently?
I can no longer access latest posts, active topics,my own posts or most of the shortcuts I used to use. Also the search facility does not work for me.
I don't know whether you all have the same problem.

NB. Suzie, I use a Blackberry not a computer.

Re: FALSE DV ALLEGATIONS DESTROYED MY MARRIAGE & MAY COST ME MY DAUGHTER

Deardevastatedmama,

I wondered if you asked the barrister to look through the papers and do what I suggested.
If you decided not to- fair enough but if you did, how did he respond?

Re: Advice needed on children protection plan

Dear angelfrake, Is your ex- talking to you? If he is amenable to it, he may agree to let the child live with you for a while rather than risk the social workers getting increasingly hostile. A five-year old needs his mother.Try as your ex might, a man cannot replace a Mum because they are not natur...

Re: Complain or not complain?

Dear Murray, It would ensure that she NEVER does it again! She has no right to contact your child without your permission. You should give her a taste of her own medicine. You can be sure she was not slow to complain about you when stirring it up for you with social workers in the past following cont...

Re: Complain or not complain?

Dear Murray, My first thought is you should contact the foster-caring agency and complain to them.
Another idea is that you should ask the question on the other forum which is for foster-carers, grandparents etc.

I'm sure Suzie will advise you soon.

Re: FALSE DV ALLEGATIONS DESTROYED MY MARRIAGE & MAY COST ME MY DAUGHTER

Dear devastatedmama, Your story , I fear , follows a very familiar pattern depressingly. Firstly,do not lose your faith in God.Life is full of 'cares and woes' mingled with moments of absollute joy e.g.when baby came into this world. This is a test for you but a massive one, alas, on the scale of the...

Re: What are my rights - LAC in mum and baby foster care

Dear ijustwantausername. Hopefully,Suzie will advise you shortly as to your specific questions, then you can go to your CSW and tell him you know your rights two of which are that the actions he takes have to be in proportion to the circumstances of your case and they should not impair your family's ...
