Will they remove him?
Hi, I'm writing this as I'm terrified. In 2017 my son was removed from my care under an interim care order. He was in Foster care for a year, he was only 2 1/2 at the time. He returned home and everything went really well, he was still attending his nursery. In September 2018 he started a school nur...

Family support worker visiting far too much
Hi all, My son of 4 years returned to my care last June after he was in foster care for a year. Things are going well and I managed to get the social worker changed and I feel I get on well with her. The new support worker was allocated around the same time. I get on well with her too, however, I'm ...

Isn't this a breach of mine, my son and my mother's human rights
Hi, Please can you help me. My son was in foster care, but he has been home since June under a supervision order. The social worker is stating that my Mum can't be around my son for 1-2 years! I'm shocked and upset. My Mum loves her grandson and my son loves his nanny. Her reasoning is that if my mu...

Re: Can they do this?
Hi, It is basically as they say that my mum relies too much on me. I was told by a previous social worker that as long as my mum isn't left with my son then there is no issue. I was also told to add my mum as an emergency contact for my son on his passport by the social worker, hence why I'm confuse...

Can they do this?
Hi, I have been told by my son's social worker that my mother cannot be around my son at all and that if I don't basically cut ties with her that they will re consider my son being back home with me. Admittedly my mum has caused a lot of issues and is not safe to look after or be alone with my son, ...

My son is coming home
Hello all, After a year, my little boy is finally coming home. He went into care at the age of 2 1/2. I'm so happy and relieved. He has been coming every day this week and is sleeping over on Monday and if it goes ok then he won't leave. The foster carers have been so good. To be honest, I'm sad as ...

Guardians
Hi all, I have throughout care proceedings with my son had a guardian involved with my son. Since making big changes the guardian is very supportive of me. I have been told throughout by my lawyer etc that a guardian does carry a lot of weight and when it comes between a difference of opinion betwee...

They are pushing me too far
Hi, I am so unhappy. I had a parenting assessment done back in February. We went to court for a directions hearing. In court Children's services stated that it was likely that rehabilitation would commence within 4 weeks, the guardian said she wanted it done sooner and the judge said he would ask th...
