Re: Can they do this?

Hi, It is basically as they say that my mum relies too much on me. I was told by a previous social worker that as long as my mum isn't left with my son then there is no issue. I was also told to add my mum as an emergency contact for my son on his passport by the social worker, hence why I'm confuse...

Can they do this?

Hi, I have been told by my son's social worker that my mother cannot be around my son at all and that if I don't basically cut ties with her that they will re consider my son being back home with me. Admittedly my mum has caused a lot of issues and is not safe to look after or be alone with my son, ...

My son is coming home

Hello all, After a year, my little boy is finally coming home. He went into care at the age of 2 1/2. I'm so happy and relieved. He has been coming every day this week and is sleeping over on Monday and if it goes ok then he won't leave. The foster carers have been so good. To be honest, I'm sad as ...

Re: Guardians

Dear Suzie,

Thanks so much for your reply.

As you have said, it is exhausting and stressful. I hope it will be over soon.

Thanks for helping so many parents.

Take care,

Guardians

Hi all, I have throughout care proceedings with my son had a guardian involved with my son. Since making big changes the guardian is very supportive of me. They are pushing me too far

Hi, I am so unhappy. I had a parenting assessment done back in February. We went to court for a directions hearing. In court Children's services stated that it was likely that rehabilitation would commence within 4 weeks, the guardian said she wanted it done sooner and the judge said he would ask th...

Nearly the end my advice

Hi all!, Well, last June I took an accidental overdose and my 2 year old was removed from my care. My home that evening was not good and he was found near medication. There were 2 other adults present but one of them wasn't very helpful and it made matters worse. We ended up in court and an interim...

Re: care order to a section 20

Hi there, You are automatically granted legal aid when you are going through Children's public law. From my experience there is not a very good chance of getting a care order discharged. You really need to get a lawyer and explain your case, I'm surprised that this has not been done before now. Do y...

Directions

 Hi all, The 22nd of November was the directions hearing concerning my son of 2 years old. The hearing went really well and children's service lawyers said that they are looking at rehabilitating my son back home with me and that there was positive progress. I am so relieved as I've fought so...

So confused

Hello, Sorry to bother everyone again but I need help. My son is under an interim care order, he has been since June, he is 2 1/2. I am doing all that is asked of me and am engaging with all services. I was told by my son's social worker that I have a really good chance of having my son returned to ...
