Re: Guardians

Dear Suzie,

Thanks so much for your reply.

As you have said, it is exhausting and stressful. I hope it will be over soon.

Thanks for helping so many parents.

Take care,

Guardians

Hi all, I have throughout care proceedings with my son had a guardian involved with my son. Since making big changes the guardian is very supportive of me. I have been told throughout by my lawyer etc that a guardian does carry a lot of weight and when it comes between a difference of opinion betwee...

They are pushing me too far

Hi, I am so unhappy. I had a parenting assessment done back in February. We went to court for a directions hearing. In court Children's services stated that it was likely that rehabilitation would commence within 4 weeks, the guardian said she wanted it done sooner and the judge said he would ask th...

Nearly the end my advice

Hi all!, Well, last June I took an accidental overdose and my 2 year old was removed from my care. My home that evening was not good and he was found near medication. There were 2 other adults present but one of them wasn't very helpful and it made matters worse. We ended up in court and an interim...

Re: care order to a section 20

Hi there, You are automatically granted legal aid when you are going through Children's public law. From my experience there is not a very good chance of getting a care order discharged. You really need to get a lawyer and explain your case, I'm surprised that this has not been done before now. Do y...

Directions

 Hi all, The 22nd of November was the directions hearing concerning my son of 2 years old. The hearing went really well and children's service lawyers said that they are looking at rehabilitating my son back home with me and that there was positive progress. I am so relieved as I've fought so...

So confused

Hello, Sorry to bother everyone again but I need help. My son is under an interim care order, he has been since June, he is 2 1/2. I am doing all that is asked of me and am engaging with all services. I was told by my son's social worker that I have a really good chance of having my son returned to ...

Will the judge agree with social services?

Hello, I am due to go to court the 22nd November for a directions hearing. Things are very positive. The social worker said that she will recommend my son to be returned as she has never seen someone fight so hard and I have done everything they have asked. I am just worried that a judge might not a...

Please Advise or give your thoughts

Hello all, I really need some views on my case. My son of 2 1/2 was removed from my care in June *** this year. I had accidently taken too many tablets which were not prescribed for me. I became very unwell and my next memory was waking up in intensive care. My Mum was at my home and was keeping an ...

Re: PLEASE HELP ME!

Dear Suze, Thank you for your reply. My key worker is only as my son attends groups so you get a key worker each. Since I posted this I have had the pregnancy proceedings paper. I have seen this with my lawyer and he has said that it is a witch hunt. The social worker has blatantly lied about me. Sh...
