Re: Partner smacked and pushed my two year old. Can social services force me not to see him?

Yes, Children's services can request and will expect zero contact. They have to ensure children are safe and protected from harm. This also includes future harm. Any contact will be viewed as not placing the children first. If they think you will continue any form of relationship they (CS) will like...

Hello

Might I politely request that you read through your post as if you were reading the post of a person you've never met - what advice would you give that person?

Re: Grandparent

Hello

Is there a court order in place? What are Children's services suggesting happens in the interim regarding where your two grandchildren stay for the foreseeable future - if it is with yourself what support are you being offered?

Re: Secure the childrens placement.???????

What exactly has been said? Is it to establish whether the current accommodation is suitable if this does go to court?

Re: Where do I go from here?

Moonlight, none of us can change our past choices. We can reflect and show insight though and make the here and now about just that. Are you separated from your ex now, because if he was part of the problem that also demonstrates you are willing to deal with all the challenges without his negative i...

Re: Iam on a downward spiral

Hello Cat I'm sorry to hear things aren't any better. It's the worst feeling knowing you have to sit on the outskirts of your own children's lives. Then when you think things can not get any worse you find out that your mother isn't well. She was the person you turned to for emotional support and no...

Re: Not happy with social worker

It took me 40 attempts one day but my perseverance paid off - keep trying... When you do get through don't keep any of the details back. Nobody is going to judge but it is very important that you tell them the current concerns to ensure they can advise you accordingly. I know this is frightening for...

Re: Not happy with social worker

Moonlight You can seek advice by phoning the free FRG number. Sometimes it takes a while to get through but keep trying. It's confidential - if you give them your name and contact details they will make a record of your conversation and the subsequent advice so if/when you call again you don't have ...

Re: Where do I go from here?

Hello Moonlight Are CS now saying that they are going to start court proceedings? Or is the plan for the children to remain with your mother? Have you asked your GP for assistance to see whether they can put some pressure on CS to start the ball rolling for detox. It might be an idea - this way it s...

Re: Section 20 PR rights?

I'd phone the office and request to urgently speak with the social workers manager. Also ask for the name of the senior manager.
