Re: Am I unfit to supervise access?

I'm afraid they think they are. Ask for supervised contact by someone else or at a centre or is there another family member and you can supervise together. I'm new to all this but they took my 16 year old because I slapped her after she punched me in the eye breaking my glasses and giving me a black...

Re: Am I unfit to supervise access?

I'm afraid that yes it does mean he must not be unsupervised". That means they should never have been out of clear sight. It's difficult because in the normal course of things you wouldn't think twice, but this is not a normal situation. I suspect that CS think that if you left them unsupervise...

Re: Indecent images plus more.

Alhoward At least you have some sort of solution and you know your girl will be safe. Lots of children grow up without fathers, I did, and am a widow so my daughter will as well. More important is that they are loved, nurtured by those who are there. Don't beat yourself up, it's not your fault. Keep...

Re: First cin review

Many thanks Suzie The social worker hasn't been involved at all, she has never met my daughter. The meeting is supposed to be just me, my daughter, sw and youth worker, but my daughter insists her 25 year old brother attends. So the meeting will be us, a person she has never met and a person she has...

First cin review

So the letter arrived today, first cin review on the 11th. What do I need to do to prepare? No agenda sent. Complicating factor is the consultant sw I made a formal complaint about 6 years ago for her inappropriate relationship with a 16 year old boy is the lead on the meeting. I'm sure she won't re...

The referral to the lado is legally seperate to complaints. Anyone can refer if they have concerns or allegations against a professional.

Re: What happens with a cpp for a 16 year old?

Thanks Suzie My daughter told them she did not want anything to do with them 4 weeks before I had any contact with her. Her reasoning being they are unreliable, she was told she would get access to counselling and work on self esteem following some friendship issues. None of this has been forthcomin...

Re: Shocking revelations

Just an add on here. Get a copy of the school's safeguarding policy and see if they followed it in relation to the allegation made by your granddaughter. It certainly doesn't seem so. If not your daughter should also be writing to the head teacher, the chair of the governors and phone the local auth...

Re: Shocking revelations

I'm sure Suzie will be along shortly, but in my research on all of this an s20 is voluntary and a person with parental responsibility can remove a child and take them home at any time. So even if you signed an s20 agreement you retain parental responsibility and can get your daughter. I got a bit co...
