Re: Estranged Dad and Social Services
As a father who has lost his children to the care system (for which I am still currently fighting for justice over what happened, and how), I understand and sympathise. My advice is do not give up, these are your children, fight for them and when the time is right and they understand, at least you c...

Re: Please help :(
In the absence of any other response currently. Myself and my (now Ex) Partner had 5 children removed. Since then she became pregnant. (unfortunately we lost at 20 weeks). We had social services involvement due to our other children currently being in care. Initial assessments etc that kind of thing...

Placement Revoked, What next
Hi Suzie (and anyone else reading who shares a comment), Well, I'm back. It's been a while since my last post, and what a hell of a roller coaster these last few years have been. Today marks day 834 since the Interim Care order was granted. Not that I've been counting,.. much, only every day. The 30...

Re: SPAM
Hi Charmed, I've also noticed this on occasion, but thankfully these are not significant events. The FRG team are usually pretty good at removing unwanted posts. All the posts have only been posted today despite joining a few days ago. I'm sure when they log in, considering this active post noting t...

Now on an ICO
So, things have degraded further with the LA to the point now were currently on and ICO. The children are in varying forms of LA foster care and or residential placements which means technically they are now 'in care'. Having read Leaflet 17; Reuniting children in the care system with their families...

Re: Have you been asked to agree to your child coming into care under a voluntary arrangement?
Yes Although in my case, the Local Authority have concerns and recently escalated matters to a PLO with a view to going straight to court (no opportunity to try and work with LA on the issues as the CPP process stagnated). Court date sorted, then a week before one of my children was reported to have...

Re: who do I complain to next?
This is a reply to charmed, In response to your new social worker, I can't speak about other authorities, but my social workers email is :- 'firstname'.'surname'@'county'.co.uk you could give that a try, if you get no reply, you've not lost anything, if you manage to get through, at least now you ca...

Re: Feeling intimitated
J64, My condolences on your loss. I know you've tried to phone your social worker. You could try emailing. I honestly don't know if this would work but possibly give it a try. I would imagine it would be pretty much standard practice across the industry but my social workers email would be :- <first...

Re: Entitlement to benefits
Hi InnocentMammy, Googling child benefit and Local Authority care, I came across the following link. Child Benefit Local Authority Care CH193 form This form is for Local Authority or Care Trusts only so not appropriate in your case, but this might answer your question. I would recommend giving the r...

Re: Was this ever Child Protection?
Hi Har1Her1, Potentially (as its not happened yet and no-one knows what's going to happen on the day) great news about coming off CPP. Typically, from what I've heard happens is rather that total abandonment, things should drop down to a child in need meeting and periodically you will attend meeting...
