Children in care... now what
So my children have been in care for just over two years and it has been just over a year since the care order was made. I have given up all hope of reunification. They are in a much better place; will have much more opportunities; and a better life than I could have given them. The fact that I can'...

Re: Children in care, mental health issues.
Hello Suzie, The complaints I made were around contact issues. For example: I had first emailed the sw in October regarding me attending the school nativity. I was finally given permission to attend (I share PR with LA) mid December but when I attended the event (after having to phone the school to ...

Re: parenting course
Thank you for your reply Suzie but I asked to be put on parenting courses back in December. They have now reduced the contact to bimonthly and are wanting to reduce it further. I am not being listened to but being slowly and painfully phased out of my children's lives.

Children in care, mental health issues.
Hello, Can social services use the fact that I had made three complaints against them in a very negative way. Re: parenting course
Hi there, I was wondering what happened with you as I had similar experience? I applied for the same courses well over a year ago when the LA had started legal proceedings. I didn't fight at the last minute meaning my children have been under a care Order for 11 months. I contacted the parenting cou...

My posts keep disappearing
Hi just wondering if admin could maybe look into this. Two of my recent posts have disappeared. One was something like "have mental health act been breached?" And the second was "Does anyone anything about a parent having a viability assessment as they seem to be aimed at friends and ...

Viability assessment for parent
Hello, Has anyone ever heard of a parent having a viability assessment? I have looked it up and it seems to be aimed at friends and family only. A full care order was granted May 2016 due to mental health and it's affect on my parenting skills. Also should I contact a solicitor at this stage? Many t...
