CPP and sensitive information - college interview
Hello, Just a quick question because I can't find the information anywhere else. I had hoped my youngest son would be taken off his CPP earlier this week, but the Review Conference has been postponed. He has an interview for a college course early next week. Please could you tell me if we have to di...

Was this ever Child Protection?
I apologise for this rather strange question. However, I need a little advice about how to respond. I have posted many times here for guidance and information and this has always been tremendously helpful. However, I think, after more than two years, we are coming to the end of Child Protection inte...

Re: Have you been asked to agree to your child coming into care under a voluntary arrangement?
Hello, Our situation is slightly different and I have written about it on here very (perhaps too) frequently, so please feel free to view the threads. My children are both under Child Protection Plans and the category of one child's plan is 'sexual abuse' because his brother (who has suspected autis...

Re: lieing social worker with a personal vendetta against me
I sometimes feel a little sorry for social workers. They are often placed in an impossible position of having to 'assess' parental competence and the safety of children in very complex situations that they have only been involved with for, perhaps a few weeks. Sometimes the assessments are based on ...
Re: Help
Just a quick update. The boys had an argument which resulted in my eldest leaving the house. I couldn't stop him and, bearing in mind the context on July when he was found screaming on the riverbank after such an altercation, I called the police. My son returned unharmed. However, there was really n...
Re: Help
Hello, I have written to my MP as suggested and I have requested that the statement re foster placements is put in writing. Quite significantly, I have had no minutes from the most recent Core Group meeting (three weeks ago), in which I stated I would consider Section 20 as long as I knew exactly wh...
Re: Help
Hello, Thank you for the reply. My son was working towards a placement with a Shared Lives carer, but this was withdrawn because the organisation considered him to be too great a risk. At various times foster placement has been suggested and although I have queried these, I have always made my posit...
Re: Help
Hello,
The support worker was very nice and very understanding, but he does not know whether he will be working with us. He is a sessional worker who is located 60 miles away and he had trouble getting to us due to freezing fog on the moors.
