Cafcass.... when or if they get involved?
Can anyone tell me does Cafcass always get involved in s/g/o? or will the procedure be between myself, s/s and court and obviously the parents? thanks
Re: Cafcass.... when or if they get involved?
Cafcass invariably get asked to report if its a contested application and SS have been previously involved with the child to ensure that the child's voice is heard. I believe that if SS were not previously involved, or the parents are not actively contesting, then the court will make the order based on the the SGO report from the LA.
However, with all these things, I doubt it is cut and dried. Some judges will ask for more reassurance that its the right thing for the child.
