Hi all,
My mum has been assessed to care for my nephew on an sgo. The assessment was a positive one. The court date is today, however yesterday we found out that the social workers manager wont sign off on the sgo and therefore it will not be presented to the court today.
The reason she wont sign it off is due to the aggression and anger shown by my brother during a meeting on Tuesday, towards the professionals and also family members.
He is not violent in the slightest, just extremely verbal.
We obviously want to appeal this decision as it is ridiculous to have a positive assessment and just due to the tantrum of the parent, they do exactly what he wanted and rufuse the sgo. What happened to doing whats best for the child? If he isnt fit to look after his child then why have they based their decision on his outburst!
Any help or info would be appreciated. Thanks
