hi again, does anyone know how long it should take to get the SGO order/certificate or whatever i should get as proof that i have got SGO, as i was awarded SGO on the 5th nov and not heard anything as of yet.

You could always phone the clerk of the court, and politely inquire whether it will be posted to you, or do you have to go to the court and collect it.

we recieved our sgo paper work approx 2 wks after it was given in court through the post

Just echoing David I went to the court to pick up some extras.. they were very nice

it will be 3 wks this fri so praps i will give it till then and if iv not heard i will give them a ring. i rung SW and she is on holiday and surprise surprise no one in the office knew anything about it. also SW hasnt let the payroll office know either so im still getting payment for kinship carer instead of SGO payment, soooo very tempted to spend the difference but just know i would get caught and have to pay it back lol. thanx for the replies

We got our sgo on the 3rd Nov and recieved the court order last Monday. xxxxxxx

still waiting, phoned the guardian today to ask her advise and got told that the case is closed where shes concerned (so helpful) bet if i stopped aunts contact she would be there lol. anyway my solicitor is going to phone the court so hopefuly i should get something next week, yea right who am i kidding.

huh my solicitor has been given nothing and i mean nothing same as me, i didnt get a solicitor untill a few weeks before the SGO was granted and that was to prepare the paper work, so really he wasnt needed, but he is coming in handy now, as once he gets all the paper work from the court he is going to write a letter to the aunt outlining what i expect from her in contact. and also i want to complain about the guardian so he is going to help me with that also.
