Radio Interviews
Radio Interviews
There have been several radio interviews that have taken place with kinship carers today, many carers you will all know. Both David and Cathy did a fantastic job organising interviews at what I imagine was very short notice.
Here are the links to the radio programs that did pieces.
Radio Newcastle, Sue and Pam spoke on this one. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0 ... 6_06_2011/
Radio Kent, listen out for Laura. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/p00h6scf
Radio 5 live, Cassie, Robert and Anne. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b011w9kf#synopsis
Radio Sheffield, Lynn. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p001d7gs
Radio Gloucester, http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p001htlt
There was also a kinship interview for Northern Ireland and I believe tomorrow, (Friday) there will be an interview on Radio Lancashire. Happy listening, [:)]

Re: Radio Interviews
Wow, thanks for posting the links Help, looking forward to hearing these. Well done all [:)]
Re: Radio Interviews
hi can you tell us whereabouts on these programmes the interviews are, especially radio kent, cos all i have been hearing about is nuisance neighbours.
Re: Radio Interviews
The interview on radio Kent is at approx 1hr 10 mins into the program.
Interviews on Radio 5 live are dotted throughout the first half of the program.
Not sure about the rest I wasnt making a note of where they appeared in all the excitement.

Many thanks for posting these links.
And thanks also to all the carers who took part in these interviews. It is so important for getting the word out, and you willingness to be interviewed at such short notice is very much appreciated.

Re: Radio Interviews
I've just listened to Laura - you did a great interview Laura, and it was lovely to hear your voice. Well done [:)][:)]
If anyone knows approx where the interviews are on the other stations it would be really helpful to know.

Re: Radio Interviews
Found the Radio Sheffield interview - easy as it's early into the programme, for anyone wanting to hear it. It was excellent but I think Rony (presenter) does a very good interview. I was interviewed by him (and Stef) some years ago and he keeps you on your toes!
I'd love to know who the grandma is on here if she'd be happy to let me know.
A bit later - have heard some of the Radio 5 coverage now (all this listening is an effective way to get me offline and down to some ironing, which is a rare event [;)]) Unfortunately they went over to Michael Gove's speech and there doesn't seem to be a way to fast forward, so that's it for tonight! The coverage so far is very good. Well done everyone and also Cathy and David for all the work you must have had to put in to make all this possible.
