benefits/professional fee

Postby nannyto1 » Fri Dec 27, 2013 11:30 am

I am now receiving the foster allowance.
I am currently on esa (due to having p.e in 2012), what i need to know is if you accept the professional fee do you lose esa completely, do you still get help towards rent and council tax? Any help much appreciated

Hi Nannyto1,

I’m pleased you are now receiving foster care allowance. We are not specialist in benefits advice at Family Rights Group but from page 18 our support for friends and relatives advice sheet does summarise the position of benefits and foster care allowance, including housing benefit, council tax and employment support allowance.

Best wishes

If you are getting kinship fostering allowance it doesn't usually include the "professional fee" you need to check
