You are right David we are foster carers for our gd and I have to say that the money that we receive from the LA does not relate to how much we actually spend. However, like ypu said when it comes to xmas any little extra is a great help. Many kinship/family and friends go over and above that extra mile and I certainly don't think that fatcat was implying that we were money grabbers.

Sorry , it looked like I shouted in my last post, didnt notice the cap lock was on, looking at the inequality of it all,you would think that at some stage in the future, all of the allowances would be the same.
I think that people who are struggling should have more support than people who are not. That is not to say that people who can afford to to get by without payments, should not be paid something.What a minefield !
